Would anyone know of any easily identified signs of what sex my 4 week old Barnevelda chicks are?
What should I be looking for? I'd really like to know before they start to crow if they are Roos.

I was told that the gurls have the lacing all over the tail but the boys don't hopefully someone can confirm this as i have a pen of 8 of them and hoping by this method that there is only one boy

It's not 100%, but barnevelder chicks can be generally sexes as day olds by their chest color. Boys chests will be white, girls will be taupe colored.

When they get older, the girls will have lacing and the boys will not.

Post pictures then I will sex them for you. I have read a ton of articles and am right 80% of the time.
