I took them outside so I could get a decent shot--trust me, I am USELESS with indoor photography. Really horrible. The best trick anyone ever taught me for getting good shots of animals is to set the zoom for about half of its capacity, and shoot accordingly. So that's what I always do. My BEST pictures come from using a 300 lens, set to about 150, from a long way off.
And I don't KNOW what the feather-footed ones are! They're bantams, and some of the broken eggshells were labeled Silver Phoenix, Mottled Cochin, Buff Cochin, and Frizzle (and of course Top Hat).
