anybody raise sprouts to feed the chickens?

Do all of the seeds in this mix sprout at approximately the same time? Are you able to grow them to fodder stage?
Are you asking about the BOSS seed mix? I sprout the mix and the other 3 grains for 3 days then feed them to my flock. I was growing the wheat and barley to fodder stage but it took so much room and work that I scaled back to just sprouting the grain. I am very happy with how my birds look now that they are finished molting. I do plant a chicken forage mix in flat trays with screens on top so they have an additional source of greens besides what they eat in my yard.

Sorry, yes, the BOSS mix. Just three days? Wow! That's pretty quick.

By day 3, the sprouts are the length of the seed. The BOSS and oats could go for another day but the barley and wheat are ready to be fed to the chickens. I start with around 1 c of grain and by day 3, the barley and wheat have formed a mat inside the jar. It is just easier for me to keep track of the days if I stick to the 3 day process.

I have a question regarding sprouting BOSS. Are those who are sprouting BOSS sprouting it from unhulled seed or are you sprouting hulled seed? I read on a sprouting website that growing it unhulled is for growing greens and growing it hulled is for sprouting purposes. I just finished soaking a big batch of BOSS un-hulled in a bucket and I am hoping I will not need to spread them out on a flat tray and that I can leave them in the bucket to do their thing along with the barley I have mixed in for sprouting.

The BOSS that I sprout is unhulled.

You can leave them in the bucket but you still need to rinse a couple times a day.
