My son-in-law's birthday is the 23rd and my daughter's birthday is a week after Christmas. We try to make a special effort to have both of their birthday parties separately from Christmas and make them special. Last year, because of everyone's schedule, we had to have "Christmas" on the 23rd, so we had Nick's birthday party later on a different day.

My own birthday is February 29th---Leap Day. Hated it when I was a kid, but now that I am old enough to get the "Senior Discount" at Shoney's...I love it! (I will be "fourteen" next year)

Both my brothers, ages 46 and 48 were born on Christmas and so was my grandmother. My brothers still to this day don't like it. It's tough sharing your birthday with someone so famous

. They always felt shortchanged as everyone seemed to be celebrating something other than them...

My sons due date was right around Christmas but he was born on the 2nd (early) but I still had all his parties in November just because

My mom's cousin and my brother's friend and a boy who used to come to our church were all born on Christmas. I'm glad I wasn't -- I like getting presents twice a year instead of just once, even if I were to get double.

Well im still thinking maybe a big barn party he loves fishing hunting and I could decorate it in christmas lights I need a barn now lol

I was born 3 days after on the 28th and my biggest complaint was and is people combining both. Drives me crazy. No I don't want more left overs for my birthday dinner by that time I don't want to cook at all take me out for my birthday.

Although I must admit this year I'm spending both Christmas and Birthday with the mouse, Mickey Mouse that is.

A big barn party sounds great for a eighteen year old.
