Anyone come across this?

So, the first time my hen went broody we let her hatch 4 eggs and this is one bird that came of it. It's a white leghorn(mom) mixed with a RIR roo. Yellow feathered as a chick then grew to this. These pictures are some time apart of course as I personally know the people they were rehomed to. What I find intriguing is the fact thats its entirely white with the exception of that seemingly one black spot. Anyone know what this would be called? Anyone ever have this happen?

It’s the result of dominant white. Dominant white often takes over a chicken’s coloration, though it shouldn’t have as much as an influence on red.

Maybe it's because they were both still fairly young and he's slightly younger than her?

What do you mean? Dominant white is the coloration of a white leghorn. The white leghorn passed on her genes to her offspring.

Ya it's quite common with white leghorn crosses.
Now days in the silkie world they're calling that pattern "paint".

I was thinking of it kinda like hair dominance or eye color dominance for us or fur coloration in Labrador pups(black, brown or yellow) type of thing.

Well, it’s not related to age.

Honestly I'm new to this he was a cross between a RIR roo and white leghorn hen.
