Anyone else expecting chicks around 10/06?

Im expecting today 10/6..actually yesterday at 2pm was 21 days.. Im a little concerned because I had a temp spike on 10/ 4 to about 104 for maybe an hour? I have a still air incubator so Im not sure if it runs cool or its fine but I have floated the eggs and they all indicate viable, some even wobbled a bit. Today though, I took a viable one that wobbled at all and checked it again. No action so I assumed it was dead and I filed through the shell to see if the membrane was moist enough ( checking on behalf of the others) it was, but when I fully opened the shell (i was deceased) it looks as though the chick wasnt ready by far.. Huge yolk sac still attached. Ive never seen this before and Im not sure if its normal, full term or what. Ive seen some wobbling going on though nothing really WOBBLING. Im seriously dying here. I feel like theyre all dying in their shells.Whats taking so long!!? Did you set yours on the 14th of September? Do you have any peeps or hatched?

I think I set the 15th so I might be a day behind you, but I'd be patient. I know a lot of things can happen and it's not unusual I think to have hatching happen to 24ish days.

I had babies due yesterday evening in all technicality and it's still day 21 for another 4 hours. I'm so impatient and actually took an egg out to check it since there weren't any pips. The one I checked was moving but nothing really active? The eggs aren't wobbling or anything and I'm just overall really worried :( I'll be so sad if they don't hatch. Should I do anything? Should I just wait :( I have no idea what to do :(

Congrats on everyone's chickies so far!

Well I set 13 banty cross eggs and all 13 hatched; set 7 Welsummers and 4 have hatched. There was faint pecking one of the eggs last night but I don't hear anything this morning, so not sure the other three will make it, But this was my very first incubator hatch so very very happy with it. And I wasn't sure the Welsummers were fertile at all, they are 4+ years old and these were the last eggs laid before they quit for molting, so happy to get the ones that I did.

Still waiting here. Hoping that the temperature drop when I raised the humidity didn't do too much damage. How often are you guys checking them to see movement/hear pecking/ect. while they're in lockdown? I don't want to keep messing with them, but I want to know what's going on, too. Today is day 21/22.

we had a bad habit checking on them every 5 minutes ! we dont open the box, we keep looking in the window!

Well my humidity was hitting 81% so I opened it for a minute to get it to come down and 2 of them are peeping!! Now I'm really excited. Hehe
