Anyone else have an easter egger who lays brown eggs?

My EEs were sold as Araucanas and are yet to lay any eggs. But I'm very happy to have them. The variety in coloring makes them interesting for the backyard flock, and I can't wait to see what color eggs they lay!

These 3 girls were sold to me as amerucanas

(the 2 white ones and the one in front that DH says looks like an opsray)

Every other amerucana I have seen on here has lots of color.... do they come in white too

Not laying yet either, so no clue what I'll get!

One of my EE's has white ears...does that mean she'll lay a white egg?

No. There is no linkage between earlobe colour and egg colour.

Really?!

yea lol because mine has blue earlobes and lays white eggs.

YA!, they come in white to! and they are pretty i might add! what hatchery did you get them from, and what did they look like as chicks?

Stuckinthecity, I've got the very hen. Drat! I'm at work but I'll post a picture of her later. She has silver gams and lays a lovely green egg everytime. She sports a rose comb but her eyes and coloring give a clue to her lineage. I have a similarly colored hen but with a single comb and she lays pale brown eggs. Anything goes!

An EE I recently sold laid cream colored eggs. Nice big ones too. I bought more EEs with the hope of getting green or blue, but I understand they could lay any color.

Oh, and she can soar over any fence even though she's not exactly built for speed. I've seen her cover the same ground as my OEGs. Anyone else have an EE with a pilot license?
