I have the eglu cube.
Price is high compared to the wooden offerings I've seen.
But in terms of materials and design I feel it is an excellent value.
It is well engineered and comes apart easily for cleaning.
I can't imagine cleaning out a traditional coop but I can completely
clean my cube with lysol down to the shine in under a half hour
and thats with the girls clucking about and getting in my way.
Sliding trays under the roosting bars means I can do a quick clean
in under ten minutes, trays are perfect size to line with newspaper.
Three days of driving rain has left the inside totally dry.
Construction is double wall and it is insulated, construction is very secure,
ventilation is designed in, as well as rain gutters. I can roll it to move it if need be.
It's made of that type of plastic that proved indestructible in the kid's products
my three boys abused for decades. I'll never have to paint it or repair it.
I can see that a lot of thought went into the design, and it works well for
ease of use and maintenance. It looks okay next to the house.
I love mine. I'd buy it again. Every time I clean it I'm glad I got it.
Every time I see the wooden coops at Agway and see the prices
I'm glad I got mine and I wonder how it is to clean a wooden one.
Ipods are expensive if you determine what you are buying is a few ounces of plastic with bits of metal and glass.
They are a miracle if you examine what they can do. The design is what you are buying. Same here.
