Anyone else see these ducks for adoption?

My runners know quiet a few tricks.... My Victor will shake his little booty every time you poke his tail and say "Shake your butt!" They all will jump up and use their wings to grab peas from hands.... Ming Meis new trick is telling me where to put her treats when she is in her tub (and wants pond food).

I think I have some videos-

victor shaking his butt-

jumping for peas- (and the wait command, which is just bowing their heads a little)

heres a facebook vid of ming mei telling me where to put her treats...

They are a GREAT representation of the breed. BEI's have the most beautiful shine thier first fall season. This is when the prisms in their feathers reflect the most vibrant green. as they are trying to attract a mate for the winter. That Drake (the one with the curly tail in the back) is BEAUTIFUL for this time of year, and so is that hen for the matter. They have great colorations, however without being able to acutally see them in person, i cannot tell you whether their size is "correct", sometimes people cross breed them with other species for larger size, and some generations are quite larger than others. I can tell you that the bill on both the male and female are not solid black, meaning they are not "show quality", but if i live near NAPA, i would have drove down and taken ALL of them. I absolutely love my BEIS!!

Another way you can check to see if these guys are pure BEI's or a mix is under their wings.. These pics below show a BEI hen that i had, that Dave Holderread showed me was crossed somewhere with some non BEI breed in the past. When you lift up the wing, the innermost section of the birds wing (kinda like our armpit) should have green iridescence, and not graying coloration's. Also as you can see in the pics (although not the best) there is almost a "lacing" or "speckling" of white around some of the under feathers. This is a key indication that the animals was crossed with something different in the past.

Thanks for the info, DMSRabbit. I'll have to see if I can pick them up long enough to look under their wings. When I got them home the first thing I did was clip their wings since we were so worried about losing them, and the female bit me for all she was worth, feisty little thing!

You people are AWSOME! These are some Lucky Duckys. I am so happy for all of you and your adopted babies. Please be sure and post more pictures. I want to Happy cry right now! Oh Lord, i am.
