Been working at the barn most of the morning and after lunch have decided it is just too blame hot to go back. I live in SE Missouri and the temp is 98 and with the heat index 112. Have been keeping plenty of cool water for everyone on the farm. Hope this does not last long:p

How hot is it in your neck of the woods or world?????

Well being I'm in Central Mo. I feel your pain.

Yeah it is awful but I think a hot day out in the barn beats a cool day at work any day!

Its 97 here in upstate New York. My chickens are all hiding in the shade and I put ALOT of water out there for them. I think Im giving in and gonna bring the kids swimming...the rest of the house work can wait til later

95 in the shade with 85% humidity here in W central NJ. Too hot for training dogs. I'm not complaining. I don't like these conditions, but I hate winter worse. After tomorrow we are supposed to get a break in the weather. Canada is sending us some cooler less humid air. Thank you Canada.

Hotter than blue blazed here in eastern Ks. Chickens seem to not really be minding it. Lots of veggie treats for them. Was easier staying outside this morning as I watered the garden and myself!!!!!!

It's about 88* and humid here. Humidity makes everything so uncomfortable! We don't take too kindly to this heat in New England. The only A/C in the house is in the bedroom, but unfortunately I can't relax in there just yet. Extra ice water and chilled veggies are on the menu today for the chooks. I was wondering if I could make them some sort of sorbet to snack on too.

AHHH - The garden, I was going to put out the soker hose!! - May have to wait till this evening. Sounds like most everyone is in the same hot boat!!

94 Degrees in the shade, heat index 108! Extreme heat advisory! I have been in and out checking on the chickens all day. I was going to go buy feed, but I think I will wait until tomorrow . We moved here from Florida , thinking it would be cooler. Wrong!

i'am in central virginia,it's suppose to hit 100 degress here today.i'am so worried about my hens.have a fan running in their hen house plus frozen milk jugs.hoping this will help until it cools down.i told my husband when they put ac's on sale in the fall.i just might buy one.husband thinks i'am going overboard on trying to keep my hens cool.i know he thinks i'am crazy.he might be right.lol.
