Anyone hatching Nov. 21?

Well nothing happening with mine yet and to make matters worse my quail eggs didn't come in either

. They were supposed to come last week and the person had computer problems and didn't get them sent but promised to send them this Monday but either they didn't or they are late, one or the other.
Anyway, still waiting for everything here, lol. Nice to see the new chicks. Can't wait for some of my own. Though I do have 14 in the indoor brooder and 4 in an outside brooder, lol, but after a week or two you get tired of them and want new ones

My early EE pipper hatched this morning and is a huge baby, and cute as can be...Love the chipmunk look...I now have another early pipper BLRW/BCMarans cross so it will be here by this evening or tomorrow...Can't wait to see what this one looks like. There are 5 left for Friday after these two. And 4 left for todays due date...Not pipped yet.

Happy hatching!!! Cindy

My 8th chick is out and drying off. Its a Chantecler/Australorp mix! Another is pipping, which is a Java/Australorp mix.

ETA: Chick number 9 hatched during the night, the Java/Australorp mix

I am winning now ha! Bator 5, Broody 4!
Of course, I still have to check the 3 eggs under the broody though, but I have 2 more eggs pipped in the bator.

I just checked the last 3 eggs under the broody. 1 was liquified, threw it away and I don't see movement in the other 2, but left them with her for a bit longer. I have 10 eggs left in the bator, but only 2 have pips so far. I might be coming down to the end of my hatch

If I get 11 out of 21, I will be very happy with that. Sure beats the only 1 out of 41 on my very first hatch attempt.

Good luck to everyone, hope there's lots of pips today and tomorrow!

On the Araucana front..........

5 made it to the hatcher.

It looks as if one has expired.

1 pipped, 2 into air cells, and one hmmmmm?

It looks like we might get some action today.

Will we get tufts? Tails?

Also, we have no clue on coloration, so this is really like a box of chocolates

Good luck! Are you hoping for tufts and no tails?

Awww Araucana, another breed I don't have yet! Why does there have to be so many choices?! lol

Chick #10 is out and drying off and chick #11 is hatching. Can hear peeping in my pure Australorp egg, but no pip yet. I sure hope it gets out and I don't lose that one.

I took the last 2 eggs away from the broody, they still hadn't pipped and I don't think they will, I stuck them in the incubator just in case. I shoo'ed her outside to get some food and water and messed up the nest. Hopefully she will stay out of the box and mix back in with the flock.

Looks like I will have 11, maybe 12 (but I will leave the rest of the eggs in there for a few more days). With all the other chicks I have right now, I am very happy with that! Will take better pics soon as they are all dried and awake.

So if we are hoping, we are hoping for Tufted, Rumpless, in a Black Breasted Red.

We are really hoping for some minor success after the USPS did their best to prevent it.

Tufted - Bonus

Will post results. LOL

Well, had to come on and hear about the hatchings since nothing is happening with mine. I hate these last few days!

My hatch is over. Its like the day after Christmas letdown lol.

I ended up with 10 lively chicks, yay!

1 tiny one (SLW/Aus. mix) is dried off, but not moving much and 1 that is peeping, but no pip. They both might not make it, so my final count might just be 10.

The rest of the eggs didn't seem to be holding their heat, so I candled them and saw no movement. Poked holes in the air sac end and found that 2 quit awhile ago, 2 a little older and 4 had quit a day or so ago. The 9th one, was the Australorp that I had heard peeping from earlier and went against my instinct to help it. It must have died trying to pip

It was a big chick and totally ready to hatch, grrrr. All the rest would have been black also.

Such an interesting experience. Thanks for putting up with all my updates
