Anyone have luck catching a feral chicken?? UPDATE: Rooster caught, no hen

Candled our eggs last night. Lost another egg, #8. Started with 15 eggs, down to 10. They are being transferred into our bedroom today and put into *lockdown*.

#2, which we are either gonna name Crackpot or Glade (depending on if it hatches or not), is doing very well still!
Love both those names!

Oh, speaking of reading material, is anyone interested in reading my blog? It is mostly filled with chicken and farm stuff. It is Where Maps Fail. I started posting back in January. My SIL started the blog and posted before that. I'm trying to get posts out twice a week now. I did take an unintended break from July until Sunday with only 1 post in August.
UH...YES!

I took a look and the humane society is waiving fees for the roosters. For some reason they also have a bunch of mice, rats and hamsters.

Aww Stacey. I wouldn't be to hard on him. I take it to mean he was acknowledging that most women have it harder.

Sooo, does this mean on Mother's Day, we all ask @21hens-incharge 's husband for stuff?!?! :idunno

Sure you can ask him! He cannot say no lol.

Next year I'm gonna ask for a pony. :gig

They brought back the emogies!!! :love

I realize earlier I ranted a bit.
Just wanted to clarify ONE thing in my rant. When I was blamed for trainees not succeeding the two being discussed were ...
A narcoleptic man that had already managed to hurt himself. I felt ladders and things like routers and lathes might not be a good idea for him to use.
Then guy number two was a guy that could not remember instructions for even 15 minutes even though I had built 20 of the same dang simple thing right there with him not even an hour before.

Pretty sure both those things were out of my control.

Thanks for letting me vent a bit. :caf
