Anyone have luck catching a feral chicken?? UPDATE: Rooster caught, no hen

Thanks to everyone for the kind words.

Having been through the cancer with my Cinnamon I know Vinnie is already leaving us.

CSU is an option but really looking at him this morning I told my hubby I would be surprised if he makes it another week.

They sent a dozen biopsy samples to CSU and even they said it is not treatable.
So sorry. Not possible to fill that hole:hugs

I am kinda mad at the breeders. I am pretty sure they were inbreeding heavily.

At one point I told my son to get his deposit back and find someone else. They had several failed litters before the one Vinnie was in.

I also feel bad because I was the one saying he needed to go to the vet for dental work. I know it would not change the outcome at all.

In the end it will be what it will be.

We should probably go back to squatch watching. Perhaps there will be a good surprise there soon.

You could give him cannabis. Depending on where you live it may be legal to get the oil for your pet. It isn't a cure at this point but may ease his time with you.

Well my chicken peeps.... Many of you will remember that my sons dog had dental surgery last Wednesday.... With many biopsies sent to the lab.

Lab work is back and the news is the worst possible. Malignant cancer with a few months at best. He won't eat so I do not think we have months.... More like a few days to a few weeks.

If I seem a bit off or ghost for a while I am sure you all will understand.
:hugs so sorry. that hurts a lot.

I’m so sorry to hear that. Our pets get to be almost like our kids.
I lost my dachshund last year at age 20. (I had him since he was 8 weeks old, so almost like a part of me at that point.) It helped knowing he lived a long full life, but it’s never easy! Our vet gave our dog Tramadol, which really seemed to help with his pain and kept him comfortable in his last weeks. You might ask your vet about that if he seems uncomfortable.
Your dog is obviously very loved and I’m hoping he is able to hang on for a while longer so you can love on him a little more! Praying for you all and sending hugs your way!

You're right. It wouldn't have changed the outcome, but it will allow you to cherish each of his last days.
He already knows he is loved.
We aren't nearly the wonderful creatures our dogs are.
:hugs
