I think if we understood the "importance" rating better, the quiz would better reflect our beliefs.

Funny thing, though.... the quiz take both religious and non-religious beliefs, and still tries to categorize them. I mean, if you're not subscribing to a certain religion, then aren't you non-religious?

It's like having 10 chickens when the law says you can have only 9, and saying, "I'm 90% legal."

I didn't even answer #12, where it was all religious type choices.

Yes too many people have the need to stick people in categories based on their beliefs or lack thereof. I can't do that to other people, I can't make myself do it

Sigh. What a mess. God. Satan. Bibles. Enough already.

Sure there is a Creator of the Universe (how else did the universe get here?) But to claim that out of the entire (and still growing, BTW) universe, he's busy watching US? P-l-l-lease! Get over yourselves already. We are just not that important in the scheme of things. We are no more or less important than any other animal on this planet or any other one. Period.

Sure, I like to talk to him as much as the next guy, but I don't kid myself into thinking he's actually hanging on every word!!!

This is the fellow who invented recycling, remember? The whole universe recycles itself if you think about it. Every element that is right now inside our bodies making us be us came from something else or someone else that was here on this earth at an earlier time. We are NOT unique. We are part and parcel of the world we grew in. And when we die, these bodies will go back into those basic elements and those elements will get used to build new critters, rocks, etc. within this universe of ours. They won't go "flying off to heaven" or get "burned in a lake of fire" or anything like that. They will get recycled like everything else. Look around you and you will see evidence of this recycling everywhere you look. Just look at your own garden for perfect examples of what I am talking about. Last year's petunias and grass cuttings are this year's compost....and so are we! What's wrong with that? I'm kinda looking forward to being part of a mountain or a rose or somebody's garden.

People are just not that important. I have often wondered if eons from now someone is gonna notice that we finally killed ourselves off and I think that being (whoever he might be) is gonna make a note that Earth finally got over its infestation of homo sapiens and is looking healthy again!!!

When I read these endless arguments about gods and books and such, I cannot help but think how much we all sound like fleas arguing over which of us owns the dog we are all riding around on!

Its tough not to quote things in the Bible in here when you know there is nothing so important to read.

I have to apologized for getting side tracked here. We all need to go to the mountain and see what's out there!

All of you got good points in here! Let's get back to the program...so Deb, do you have another interesting question for us???????

Yeah, I guess if you believe in the bible, it is important. But if you don't believe in the bible, it is quite worthless. (Harry Potter is more important to me) !! When you don't believe, bible quotes mean nothing. "Because the bible says so" holds no water for me. So when I ask a Christian a legitimate question and the answer I get is quotes, references, scripture, etc. from the bible, it is a cop-out to me and frustrating. But I guess when I think about it that is what Christian's believe in and that is what they base their opinions on. So, in looking at it that way, I guess it would be hard for them to answer in any other context and perhaps I should not except any other response?

I dont like Harry Potter in books but I do enjoy the movies LOL!

When one quotes the stuff from the Bible, sometimes or most of the time, its a blur to me. Do I care? Not really. I love to throw stuff from the Bible along with my opinions to anyone who thinks they are "better" than the non religious folks, including aethists. Most the time I made enemies than friends. However when subject comes to something else than religion, we are good to go, like here, we are like minded in chickens.

Rusty, its a good thing we can recycle ourselves like putting us into cardboard boxes into ground or cremations but the government gets in the way of things sometimes.

Took the Belief o Matic and its strange that I do not belong to any of them.

As for Deb's question I have to back and look for her question and post again.
