Anyone wanna work out with me???

I like putting my food diary here. Y'all get to look at it and that helps me stay on track. It's sort of like "do I really want a snickers bar more than I don't want to tell about eating it". That being said, yesterday involved an obscene amount of fatty food consisting of fried chicken, french fries and dirty rice. Today will be better. Yesterday I played basketball with my boys, I think that counts as exercise.
 
OOPS

After thinking some more about what I ate yesterday, I remembered I had one can of Barq's Root Beer.

That takes the calories from 1,010 to 1,170! Yikes! Those little cans of soda really make a difference!
 
Hi ladies--haven't heard from some of y'all in a while!!

First of all, I'll start off with exercise, because that's what I did all day! :eek: I pushed my mom around the fairgrounds in her wheelchair for 8 hours. We're talking fast walking here, though, because we went from end to end several times, and even lost the boys thrice.

My thighs feel so lean and tone right now....and my feet--SO SORE! I didn't drink enough water throughout the day ($3/ bottle!!!) so I have a massive headache. I got home and drank six glasses of water. Wow.

Anyhow, to what I had to eat. *cough cough*

Breakfast: Cereal. Cherrios.

Snack: 1/5 of a gyro. Wasn't very good, gave it to mom.

Snack: Cotton candy. Yes yes, I know, bad Mandy. I'm going to give the rest of it to my chickens

Snack: Rootbeer float

Snack: 1 small slice of breaded, fried salmon (we didn't know it was going to be fried) oops. $6.50!!!!! Outrageous! (It only came with 2 sticks--mom and I shared).

That's it. It sounds like a lot, but if you think about it, the only mondo source of calories would be the float. But I'm not hungry right now. Probably because of the water I just drank.

Yesterday I made 2 loaves cinn. swirl bread, 2 loaves french bread, 4 loaves freezer bread, 2 doz. freezer rolls. That was really all the exercise I did. My ankle was very sore from all the walking and standing I did on Sat.

I ate 1 slice warm cinn. swirl bread w/ butter
cranberry juice
water
several glasses of wine
in the afternoon hubby put on a movie (pee wee herman, a friend thought he should see it) 2 hrs before dinner and he brought out snacks!! Well, of course I couldn't resist-three handfulls of fritos w/ cheddar jalapeno dip, 1 very small piece of beef jerky
for dinner I had awful frozen lasagna and fresh garlic bread and salad w/ italian dressing
I actually also had desset last night-a sugar cone w/ homemade brownsugar vanilla ice cream
water

I will try to do much better today

Sunday was better then Saturday.

Breakfast: one chicken wing
Lunch: microwave diet sandwich and a peach
Dinner: homemade chili with cheese and avacado, whole wheat oatmeal biscuit, strawberries
snack: carrots

I even managed to avoid the ice cream truck!
I'm off to the gym when I'm done here. But I gotta get a load of laundry in and the trash out to the curb.

Sunday

One bowl on cereal I forgot what it is called and threw the box out into the recycles, it has Flax seeds and Pumpkin seeds in it really good.
1/2 cup milk

Lunch
one slice of Hawaiian Pizza
2 bottles of water
a bunch of grapes

Dinner
1 Itailian Sausage Sandwich
4 slices of watermelon
1 cup of milk
1/2 a bag of popcorn split with my DH while watching the movie "Italian Job"
2 more bottles of water (popcorn was salty)

Excercise cleaned house vacuumed, washed floors, and bathrooms. OH I mowed all the lawns with the push mower!!!

Today...

Breakfast
1/2 a roast beef sandwich on 7 grain bread
once again LOADED with fresh veggies
1/2 slice pepperjack cheese
1/2 cup milk
1 water bottle

Lunch
1 bottle of water not sure what to eat not really that hungry.....

Excerise so far today took the dogs out for a walk about 2 miles to the pet store we went shopping for them and I bought my Aussie/Border Collie a backpack for her to carry our purchases home plus our water bottles

She seems to like wearing it!! I lugged back a 10 pound bag of cat food.

I exercised 45 minutes today on the elliptical trainer and the treadmill.

Breakfast: one whole wheat/oatmeal biscuit with butter
Lunch: biscuit with butter, microwave diet dinner, carrots
snack: peach
Dinner: leftover chili with light sour cream, slice of bread.

I always drink lots of water and have two cups of coffee every morning. I rarely drink soda/pop/coke. I might have a margarita tonite. Today was a pretty good day, and was weigh-in day for me. The scale says down 4 pounds, but I don't believe it.

This batch of chili was good, it loaded with good veggies (onions, 3 kinds of peppers, two kinds of chillies, tomatoes and tomatillos) and two kinds of meat. I never use a recipe so I never know how hot it will be until I taste it. This batch was tasty!!!
 
I'm at 1,280 calories for today. I MIGHT have a snack later. I have to run up to the grocery store once the kids are in bed.

Exercise was laundry and vacuuming.....generally tidying up the house. I wish my scale wasn't still packed cause I'd kind of like to know what I'm weighing. I have no idea what I was starting at though, so I don't know if it would even matter.

I haven't been on the board since Fri, so I have alot of confessing to do .........
Friday:
I followed my diet until supper
before supper : 459 cal
dinner = chicken wings & beer(very bad, but one of my favorites)
serbet for desert Total- 1759, and no exercise .
But that's not the worst of it.
Saturday
I ran dogs in the morning: good for burning about 300cal
But Then..jacks link beef stick(312cal) I gotta leave those alone. Also a small bag of chex mix(360cal) bad, bad
Then...Beer with the guys
We ate an early dinner @ red lobster and I made a wise choice of broiled flounder, but with the cheddar biscuit and hurricanes it totaled 1080cal.
Also had a cranberry slush from sonic (290cal)
Then we had ice cream for desert that night.
Saturday's total a whopping 2707 calories (YIKES)
I learned from this:
-No more sonic slushes
-No more beef sticks
-Not nearly as much beer
-No more chex mix
-No more fruitty drinks at resturaunts
- No ice cream before bed
If I would have eliminated those things I would have saved 1875calories....even chosing one of the list instead of having them all would have kept me in the diet budget.

Sunday: I did eat pretty casually we made a briket for dinner and broccoli rice w/cheese. My total for the day was 1744 cal. not very good, not nearly as bad as Sat.

So Monday I got back on track.
I got up @4:15am and did a 45min lowerbody TJ.
I ate a banana, slimfast snack, salad, and brisket & spinich. Day's Total 865cal.

Today I'm doing good (695cal so far), but tomorrow is weigh in for the first week and I'm scared I blew it over the weekend. Also my glueteus maximus is SOOO SORE from that lower body TurboJam.
I'm definately gonna do a 45min cardio tonight to try to and tip the scales for tomorrow.

I am so proud of all of you sticking with your changes.!!
Thanks for listening.....The idea that somebody else is reading my habits helps keep me in line.
