Anyone wanna work out with me???

Quote:
No, I've never heard of that. My mom, however, salts her watermelon and tomatoes......I think that's weird.

At any rate, I went over on my calories today BUT it's because I ate out AND I did a lot of physical stuff today. I busted out most of the drywall in the hall bathroom of our new house. We're putting in a new tub and toilet because the idiots that lived there before us PAINTED them and they look too disgusting to even think about using. Not to mention that they are literally filthy..... Anyhow, I went over with my dinner of cajun food.......but how does one eat cajun food without busting their diet a little? I still kept it at 1,820 calories though! For the whole day I mean.....not just the cajun food....this time lol

I hope you all did great!

Here's some more helpful info from Slim-Fast.com about portion control. I hope that it's helpful for someone.
**********
With portion sizes getting larger and larger, it's hard to know how much you should be eating. Until now! The next time you're served a heaping plate of food, know when to say when.

Water:
Drink 8 glasses of water each day. Water will not only help you stay well hydrated, it will also help your body work efficiently throughout the day. Any type of calorie-free beverage counts, so don't be shy-bottoms up!

Garden Salad:
Enjoy 1 cup of raw vegetables, including any type of dark leafy greens such as romaine, green leaf or oakleaf lettuce, along with a variety of added vegetables, like broccoli, carrots, bean sprouts, peppers and cucumbers. This salad can be your own creation. Remember that vegetables are packed with lots of nutrients. However, regular salad dressing can increase the number of calories in your sensible meal. Opt for 2 teaspoons of Wish-Bone

Salad Spritzers™.

Fruit:
A serving of fruit is a satisfying way to top off your Sensible Meal. One serving is 1 medium-size fruit (about the size of a baseball) or ½ cup of cut-up fresh fruit, frozen fruit or fruit canned in its own juice or light syrup, or berries.

Meat, Poultry, Fish and Vegetarian Alternatives:
A 4-6 oz. serving of a protein-rich food such as meat, poultry or fish should look like a deck of cards or the size of your palm (minus fingers). Choose lean proteins that are low in saturated fat. Vegetarians should eat protein-rich meat alternatives such as beans, tofu, seeds and nuts.

Vegetables
A serving size is 1/2 cup cooked or 1 cup raw vegetables. Fill ½ your plate with veggies-try steaming, roasting or stir-frying them to add flavor and variety to your diet.

Bread, Rice and Pasta:
Your Sensible Meal should include a serving of starch, preferably whole grain. Choose 1 small baked potato, ½ cup whole wheat pasta, 1/3 cup brown rice, 1 slice of whole wheat bread, ½ bagel or a small multigrain roll.

Yes sometimes I salt my apples, got that from my mom who LOVES salt, she even salts TOAST!! I only do it when the urge comes on.
Last night I ended up having two bites of the dessert I had made-too chocolaty for me. and also had two sierra nevada pale ales.

I won't be able to post tonite as we will be leaving this afternoon to go up the mt. to a star party.

I have not had anything as yet this morning, probably will fix a ham and chees sandwich with mustard and lettuce, tomatoes this afternoon. Don't know about dinner, whatever we can take with us no cooking on the mt. right now.
I will have a few beers though.

I am going out to water 13 trees, play fetch, replace the small rocks w/ bigger rocks around the chicken yard, the squirrles are moving the small rocks, clean out the pen and nesting boxes. make snacks for tonite, walk around the property with DGD

Yesterday I had pretty much what i did the day before, except I fell off the wagon in the evening with corn chips. I didn't exercise, but I always exercise more on the weekend.

Yes, I salt granny smith apples, it brings out the tartness. I also put pepper on my cantalope. And garden tomatoes with salt and pepper is one of the joys of summer.

Hey all, I'm a little late but I want in. My son is nine and I'm still carrying most of the 70 pounds I gained while prego. I've never told anyone this stuff so keep it a secret(teehee).

Oh God here it goes:

age: 42
height: 5'6
weight: 213
size: 18

goal: any loss would be great
I actually have two
first, 170
second 145

I'll take anything at this point.
I plan on eating right and walking or swimming at the Y but I'll need your help.

Wish me luck,
Dee

Good luck to you Dee!

Well, we've been working on our new house today and I've been making trips back and forth between the old house and new house and a couple of trips to Lowe's all day. Whoo....exhausting. I sure hope I'm burning some kind of calories.

I didn't have time for breakfast but managed to get one cup of coffee. I also had almost a whole bottle of diet citrus green tea. Lunch was BBQ and tea. I may have over-done it a little, but I didn't have breakfast or snacks of any kind and I've been on the go all day. That's all I've had to eat so far.......

All in all, I think I'm doing pretty good. All this house stuff is just kind of screwing up my eating schedule, but it has to be done.

Hope all of you are staying on target!

OK checking in,
I was not able to yesterday as I was gone most of the day running errands.

Breakfast:
Roast Beef Sandwhich on 7 Grain Bread
1 slice Provalone cheese
Horseradish
romanie lettuce
red onion slice
1 cup of milk

Lunch 2 water bottles
leftover brown rice and chicken

Dinner, OHHH it was SO GOOD at the kid's school!

1 Tri-Tip Sandwich
I was such a good girl the sandwich was made on a 8 inch chunck of Sour French bread sliced in half BASTED in butter, garli, and herbs, layered w/ Tri-Tip!!
I wanted to eat the whole thing but I only ate half of the bread (the thin half) with the beef
one diet Pepsi (NASTY)
4 water bottles.

Excercise was only the running around I did in the AM time. During the evening at my kid's school was the BBQue and Quarter Carnival so I sat on my butt at the Face Painting Booth and painted faces

Alright, so I posted about eating BBQ for lunch. I also had it for dinner (leftovers). I know it was probably a LOT more than I would have eaten otherwise, but I was on the go all day. I was going between our old and new house hauling the drywall out of the bathroom that I'd torn out the day before...... I did a lot of work. I must have needed the food because instead of feeling full and fat I just felt satisfied, so I think that was a good thing.

How's everybody else?

Added: I just plugged in what I ate yesterday and I came up with 1,010 calories! I can't believe that! I didn't have the nutritional info, but looked up the foods I ate (brisket, pinto beans, potato salad) and plugged in the approximate amounts I ate and that's what it came up with. I didn't do as bad as I thought!

Yesterday I worked at my second job; so I had

Breakfast: cheese roll-up 210 calories

Snack: Ensure 250 calories

Lunch: Frozen yogurt 500 calories

Dinner: Corn on the cob, BBQ chicken and green beans--500 calories.

I've really found that the cheese roll-up satisfies my cravings more than cereal--probably because it's warm and gooey.

Exercise...uh...rolled around in a chair all day?
