Anyone want to hatch with. Today is the big day!!!!!!!!!! (thursday)

My 30 eggs at my friends incubator are down to 12 and she says all the air sacks are jagged and look funky. The eggs thrown out were either scrambled or completely clear.

On my hova bator, so far I don't see much of anything. So I don't have much faith in the shipping eggs hatching, but I am still HOPING!

At least I got to see the Ameraucana chicks she had shipped in (16) and they were real cuties!

Out of 12, only 2 are left and only 1 of those is the Dark Welsummer egg.
So out of 24 from the other shipper, 10 are left. Those aren't as dark, but at least also Welsummers.

If NONE of them hatch, I will need a source of Welsummers or Wyandottes. Maybe I can DRIVE there and get my eggs next time!

I am enjoying my large brooder chicks and my 4 laying hens.

The hens go hide now because I caught them all up and treated their legs and booties for mites and they think I'm going to chase them again. Any special food they go nuts over so they like me again?

The TSC chicks are really big now 5-6 weeks old. They are getting out of their 'area' in the basement, but are always back inside it when I pop in on them. I'm pretty sure one or two of them are Roos.

After some of these fierce spring storms that have rolled through this week, I am really leary of putting them out in hoop house runs or chicken tractors!

So who has hatched now and where are more chickie picks and what KIND of breeds are they????

Can I join? My first batch of test eggs are due the 2nd? I have 5 Brown Red Ameraucana eggs set and they all look to be fertile. We'll see... I hope to set some Blue Partridge Silkie eggs soon.
