Anyone want to lose some weight too? So I'm not starvin' by myself?

Yoga is great. I did a little bit a few years ago but didn't stick with it. I am enjoying the yoga that is on the Wii Fit Plus (me and that darn Wii Fit Plus). I have been trying to fit in a little yoga everyday that I workout. I usually do only 5 or 6 poses but it makes a difference. I feel much more flexible.

I was down a little over a pound this morning. I need to lose about a half pound more and keep it off to meet my goal on Saturday.

I had a half hour before work to get a little exercise in. I have a bit of an upset stomach so I just did my daily yoga and a few other activities. I'm hoping I will feel better and be able to finish my workout this evening. These days I'm wishing I had some sort of exercise machine to plop in front of the tv so I could do some multi-tasking. I guess I could actually. I have a glider type machine in the basement. I'd have to rearrange furniture and drag the machine into the tv room that's in the basement. I might just do that if I have the energy tonight.

Not sure what to have for dinner. I wanted to make a taco pizza but didn't leave myself enough time to go to the store today.

Tina, no problem
ChickyJoy, I am SOOOO into working out while watching TV. It's part of what keeps me at it. Really. During the commercials or if I'm not having the TV on I just STARE at the clock. Even if I have music or whatever it doesn't distract me. However turn on a TV show I like and am really into and the time just FLIES by! (commercials can be distracting that's why I find movies even better) like last night I turned on loser at 830 after tucking DS into bed and I did a whole 80 minutes on my elliptical! Its cool because I actually make plans to watch an hour of TV each evening so I pick whatever my fav show is going to be that night and watch it while I do my elliptical. Now some nights I'm too busy for either but the nights that I am not I figure, if I have time to watch TV, I have time to work out! It's a win-win situation. I also found that having my elliptical in my bedroom is nice not only because of the TV but it has made my bedroom (which is also housing my month old chicks) VERY crowded and my logic there is, if I'm not going to use it then it needs moved out of the way. So you see you can find all kinds of motivation if you think about it! :)

AS to you yoga ppl...kudos from me! I am only 25 and cant do that stuff! I did pilates after the birth of my son but could never even get beyond the starter tape, and I've printed out so many online yoga moves, but I cant even master the simple ones like downward facing dog! Maybe once I lose a little more weight and can manuever a bit better I'll give them a shot again!

I'm having a small lean steak and half of a baked potatoe with chives and a salad for dinner! YUM- not the BEST dinner, but still WELL within my points limit for the day! HAve a great evening ladies!!!

Mmmm.... I crave greens!! There are so many good ways to cook them. One thing that helped me was realizing that "bitter" (mild bitter, that is) is a flavor we all crave in small doses, but many people get that flavor from coffee, or beer. In China and India they intentionally include bitter flavors in certain meals -- it's considered equal with sweet, salty, savory, sour, and other tastes.

Also, collards simmered over an hour plus with onions, can taste sweet.

Yoga is great! Don't be intimidated because they teach very gentle beginner classes -- better to find a yoga center because sometimes the gyms that offer yoga are really pushing you too hard, and IMO that is not true yoga.

By the way, if you feel inflexible and unbalanced, that is exactly what yoga helps with ... it's always about gradual stretching, so you wouldn't believe how out of shape you can be and gradually you find out how much the positions will make you feel flexible and all your joints and muscles are easy-flowing and don't hurt anymore. It's better than any drug, trust me!!

I'm on my first week of WWs. It was fine up until yesterday when i put a fair amount of sugar in my tea, then I craved salt and alternately sweets all night long. It was torture! I went to the store and bought a large container of cut-up fruit and that helped a great deal. It sure was hard walking by the cupcakes, though, which was what I had imprinted on my brain for hours... want cupcake... want cupcake... cup...cake... BUT I didn't have one and the craving is gone. Yay!

Weigh in is tommorrow night. I hope i lost sumthin!

Meds and weight loss.

Can my BP medicine be keeping me from losing? I am seeing a difference in muscle tone, and my jeans feel less snug at the button but no loss on the scale.
My meds keep my heart rate regular and slow...about 70. So even when I am chugging around the track, I am lucky to get a heart rate of 90.

Ugh!
