Anyone with ball-python experience?

I have had my male ball python, Snek, since September of 2018, and he was six weeks old then (I cannot do the math right now.) He is very adorable, as is yours.
I have a heating pad on the right side of my 20-gallon-long that stays at 87 Fahrenheit all the time, and a heat lamp above in the middle of the tank that is always on. These days it is warm, so he has been staying on the cool side of the tank.
From my experience, ball pythons take several days to digest their food, and I tend to stay on the safe side of that (I do not take him out of the tank or adjust his surroundings during that time).
How is your python doing now? Here are a few photos of Snek, one of which shows him at 6 weeks, and the other two of which are from sometime last year (he is a bit bigger now).

I love the name Snek! I have a normal ball python named Onyx and she’s a big fatty.

My husband recently got his very first snake 1 week ago. It's a female baby albino ball-python that he named Azula:

He had a couple questions but everytime I google his questions (he is not technology savvy), I couldn't find a direct answer.

1. How long does it take for them to digest a "hopper"? (He's waiting to clean up the poop)
2. How long do you keep the light on, or does it stay on all the time?

With BYC being such a large community, I thought I would attempt to ask.

Hi!
Our python Zen usually takes 1-2 days to digest her food. She is 3 yrs old and eats 2 med. rats at a time but can digest them around 2-3 days if shes in her hibernation mode. Word of advice, wait a bit and let your snakes "leftovers" get firm or harden up. It makes cleaning up after alot less messy! As for the light, we have 2...1 day time lamp and another for night. I found a great timer/surge protector from ZooMed for around $10 on Amazon. Be sure to have the lights on one end of the habitat and a cool area on the other. Having proper lighting, heat and humidity will help w/digestion and give your new pet a happy home.
