I have had my male ball python, Snek, since September of 2018, and he was six weeks old then (I cannot do the math right now.) He is very adorable, as is yours.
I have a heating pad on the right side of my 20-gallon-long that stays at 87 Fahrenheit all the time, and a heat lamp above in the middle of the tank that is always on. These days it is warm, so he has been staying on the cool side of the tank.
From my experience, ball pythons take several days to digest their food, and I tend to stay on the safe side of that (I do not take him out of the tank or adjust his surroundings during that time).
How is your python doing now? Here are a few photos of Snek, one of which shows him at 6 weeks, and the other two of which are from sometime last year (he is a bit bigger now).
