I am personally offended that you removed the 'perfect church' tagline

I am shaking my head and quite baffled that you are so offended that someone 'criticized your tag line' when you yourself have repeatedly gone onto my threads and said cruel and unessasary things. You say you never found it necessary to name call? Really?

Perhaps you'll remember saying this to me: (and this is an exact quote)

"....You sound like a spoiled selfish brat.

you are inconsiderate of others and I'm not surprised you have an ex hus and ex boyfriend.

Also I think you are foolish to think you are an island unto yourself.

Now you might want to consult a therapist about your family and see why you are so uncaring about others feelings. One would think you'd be concerned for others but clearly you aren't.

Rancher....."

Hmmm... I'm a spoiled selfish brat, inconsiderate, foolish, you're not surprised I'm divorced, I think I'm an island unto myself, I'm uncaring about other's feelings, and should consult a therapist. But no, you don't name call.

That's just one I found with a quick search. I have plenty more from you.

Who cares if someone criticized your tag line. It never bothered me, but then, I deal with people like you all the time who say far crueler things than that you 'sound like an a$$'. Big deal. Get over it. You don't see me starting threads whining about why people are offended at my words, and I get plenty of it.

Maybe now you have an idea of what it feels like to have your words twisted and criticized and being called names for it. Feeling misunderstood and judged sucks, doesn't it?

LauraJean if you are gonna go there and stoop down then put the WHOLE conversation in place not just the parts you have chosen.

Nuff said that is not what this thread was about.

I agree with you cetawin!
Furthermore, I found all of his response quite appropriate when he wrote them
I think ..... nevermind....

Tim,
I like your signature and am glad you kept it.

I also like your honest opinions expressed in threads.

Me too. If a tag line is a whole paragraph, I just don't bother.

I think the nastiness of the winter season is getting everybody's knickers in a twist. Everybody go have some hot buttered run and relax.

Actually I see something wrong with it. Since it is a quote, it should be inside quotation marks and attributed to the original author.

I say keep it!

Okay

, I love it. Reminded me of just finishing my paper for my MAsters!!!

We are free to say what we want on here in our posts and tags in the limits of keeping it a family friendly community. However if a person gets offended by anothers statement, why not just keep their mouth shut? if everyone just accepts that no two people think exactly alike, the problem would be solved. No one person HAS to UNDERSTAND why anyone else thinks they way they do. Its a matter of person a being different than person b and having different opinions. Unless its a positive thought, or constructive criticism, it should be kept where it came from, in ones mind. And if its something they REALLY need to get off their chest, thats what pm's are for, so noone is made to be a spectacle, or feel obligated to apologize on a public forum like a child in front of a class.

I have ALWAYS liked your tag-lines. I like SO many of those used by a great many BYCers.

When I was a supervisor, I used to tell my subordinate dispatchers who got ruffled by something said to them over the radio by field personnel, "That wasn't personal, don't take offense. Now, if s/he'd said, "YOU, [insert dispatcher's name] are a total idiot and I want your supervisor to take you off the air, you absolute nitwit," then you can take it personnally."

And, after having read this thread, I believe I am going to change my own signature line to something which I have displayed on a small sign in my office cubicle. Readers can take from it whatever they wish.

Because somebody taking a signature line personally is the sure demonstration of an incredibly self-centered soul.
