tomorrow, the oldest and i have a chance to get all the apples we want, and there are lots!
can you make applesauce, apple rings, or pie filling, etc and freeze it? if so, how? i dont have a canner so i am trying to think of alternatives.
 
My mom has apple trees and she peels them, slices them, blanches them and them freezes them in the right quantities for pies or other recipes she is planning through out the year. Usually she does a half way full gallon bag with all the air taken out and cooled before freezing.

ok, with freezer bags..will they last for months on end?? and will those plastic freezer containers as well?
