Nice find

Wonder about the history of the ring, who wore it, how it was lost? Has the barn always been in your family? or who was previous owners?

It really cleaned up great!

I would definitely keep it, too! How many people can say their chickens gave them eggs and jewelry?!?

I remember you saying that the lady you bought your house from was old and had no relatives...wonder who lived there before her?? Is your house really old, or was there an old homestead there? Who knows what might be out there...?

That is just really a neat story. I found an old wedding ring while going through my grandmother's costume jewelry after she died. I gave it to my aunt (the oldest daughter) and she had no idea where it came from, because she already had my grandmother's wedding ring. She told me to keep it, because it was obviously meant for me to have. I feel the same way about your ring.

Don't let anyone tell you that it isn't yours. If the woman was alive or if there was an inscription, it might be different, but there is no way of knowing where it came from or who it belonged to. People might try and claim it, and be dishonest. That ring is yours. Enjoy it.
