5/7 so far today... Just the EE and Americauna left to lay to make it a perfect day, we shall see I am going home to check again in a few.

Well update for Monday.... 5 eggs today 3 of the new girls laid today, 1 decided to use the coops floor at the edge of the nesting boxes. Guess they were all filled up and she couldn't wait in line either. 2 were from my Orpington's. Shhhh don't tell my hens but maybe I will have omelet tomorrow instead of cereal.

They do not poop in the nest box, that would be just gross. My hens are ladies

One of our new ladies has decided her nest "box" of choice IS the deep litter... under the roosts.... y. U. C. K.

I just came home, no more eggs so far today 5/7
However I did find one from yesterday under the roost

My light brown leghorn has layed from the roost 3 times since she started laying I will be having a talk with her about it.

No joke! I have put her in the box when i see her but she just stops a d goes outside til i leave. So i dunno. Might have hubby put a wire over the litter for a few days to see if that helps her undecide that is THE place.

Got eight eggs today. . And seven fugly lil rabbit kits. And the rains a comin!
