Out of curiosity can anyone tell me if the ones from my silver sebright and barred rooster can be sex at hatch. I saw one with a white dot on his head and the other one is solid black. Mom and dad so you have an idea of their pattern

That’s crazy! I was so afraid that was going to happen to me. Luckily she seems to be very protective of her babies. She never pecked me before and today she doesn’t want to see me near her. Good luck with those chicks!Have six pips, one zip, and a broody running crazy through the yard.
I’m out here with dogs and toddler and I can’t do anything about it for a half hour. Mess. If she does t go back in a few minutes I’ll take them all to incubator. I don’t think she has been sitting on tbem for a while there’s poops in the other part of the broody pen. I should have moved her before yesterday for sure.
Such CUTIES!!!I had 4 hatch Friday night into early Saturday morning (betweened 10pm-4am) 5 hatched by 10 this morning and 4 hatched by 4pm. Total 13 of 14 locked down hatched, I do like the NR360 incubator, I have had 2 great hstches with it so far. Here are few pics of the chicks in the FI4250 that I am using as hatcher/brooder
All the eggs still have movement for the most part but we’re cool to the touch, but warm inside the egg. The externally pipped eggs were chirping at me.That’s crazy! I locked her in the box with wire over the front to keep the other hens from booting her and messing with the babies. It’s a high box so this should also protect the babies. I’ll decide today before dusk whether to move her and the ones that have hatched or do it in the morning. Mostly based off when the first one actually hatches. All the eggs still have movement for the most part but we’re cool to the touch, but warm inside the egg. I put her back in her original box. I’ve read a lot that the hens bond to the nest not the eggs and then the chicks. In the future I’ll move broodies very early and I’ll try again after she hatches.
the incubator is warmed up, but I figured it would be better for the ones partially hatched under the broody then changing their entire environment and putting them in the bator.
crossing fingers!!!!!

she does not mind me handling her or checking underneath her.
i feel so dumb moving her this late.
The chick that is zipped I think was the first pip and it may have just freaked out mama. I think she pecked at the shell and ripped half the shell off, because half the shell is missing, the membrane is solid white. She is obsessively sitting now and movi nc around the other hatching eggs but moved this one out of the nest. I brought it inside and the membrane still has tons of blood vessels. I can’t see breathing but it chipped twice at me.
I moved mine last year after the chicks hatched and she stayed. It’s a good idea to do it after they hatch.
