Well, I hear little chirps from the incubator that is in lockdown. so soon I should have some CCL chicks, which is good because I have 48 eggs to go into it on Sunday. Though...if I hand turn I can get around 90 in there...hmmmmm

Eggercise the new way to get fit.

@LadiesAndJane I'm going to start the broody plague again my turkey was mad today because I took her eggs from the nest she made in the thorn bushes. She has no mate so she can’t hatch. She was chasing me and everything!

That would have been a sight to see!

Not a turner- just resting cups. The top 2 chicks from tan eggs, the bottom chick from a green egg..

3 chicks out, the blue egg has chick is in the air cell. Dark egg, may be a quitter, or a latter hatch, the bottom tan may just be a later hatch...

The chick from the green egg got scared after hatching and tried to dive back into the egg shell.

All of the eight viable eggs made it and are now in lockdown! Humidity around %80, a little higher than I wanted but it'll do. I made little holes in all the eggs in the air pocket. More updates soon!

I thought they looked like paint silkies! Just was not sure.

I dont' think we use the same vocabulary for chickens so it is a bit difficult We only have names for the big and small versions of chickens and then there color is extra mentioned. Bantam is an extra breed just as Silkies ore Sussex. The name 1 to 1 translated should be: Dwarf silkies in the color paint. Sorry I am not able to explain better.
