Nope No chance being something else Rouen are the only ducks I have.

Hey - at least I got some to hatch.

duck eggs always seem to be the hardest.

the little runt - I pulled some stuff that was stuck to his chest off and it made some yellow yolk looking stuff ooze from his belly - I thought I killed the poor thing but then some shavings stuck to it and he is fine - I haven't messed with the shavings on it. Just left it and he seems to be doing fine now.

I've had the best luck with ducks! It's chickens that I can't seem to get a good hatch out of. Someone told me it's a humidity issue, (too high) but I've been vigilant about keeping it between 25 and 30% this time and I'm still losing them late, late in the game. Even my own eggs. My temps have been fine....I don't get it. *sigh*

I still so far have 4 hatchlings .. they are really active little fuzzies

DH & I are going to move them into a brooder box this evening. I have 14 of my Rouen Duck eggs in the bator they have 10 days to go.

I hope everyone has been getting some hatchings.
