We actually had a LOT of posts from members that had posted guessing it was an April Fools joke. We deleted the posts on the first few pages and anybody that posted publicly that it was a joke, we sent a note that we had removed their post to save the fun for other members that hadn't been online yet and asked that they play along.

I'm sure there were lots of BYC members who figured it was an April Fools joke from the start. I just get a hoot out of the folks who seriously post that they are going to try the foil a week after you announced that it is a joke at the beginning of the thread. That's why I can imagine the "foil method" becoming urban legend or suburban legend or rural legend - whatever the case may be.

Just be aware that it only works if you use aluminum staples. If you use steel staples the galvanic action counteracts the broodification factor.
