Announcement April Fools' 2019 - BYC Now Fully Self-Moderated

This takes us back to the very roots of democracy, in the ancient Greek forum.

The essential thought is found in the work of the Greek poet Hesiod (c.700 bc), ‘observe due measure; moderation is best in all things’, and of the Roman comic dramatist Plautus (c.250–184 bc), ‘moderation in all things is the best policy.’

One important thing that made the ancient Greek forum such a success: they had usernames, but no passwords. Without passwords they could also a moderate each other. We need to consider that.

This is an excellent idea.
