APRIL Hatch a long ......Anyone?

Without complaining too much, our power got cut off today (we've been paying them every 1st of the month for 3 years, btw... it got cut off for not having a current ph number - WHY didn't we get anything in the mail is beyond me!) anyway, I candled the eggs yesterday & things looked good. Tonight... Not good :( very little to no movement. I'm just hoping that I caught them at the wrong time & the ones that were moving yesterday are still alive. I have a bad feeling that this hatch is gonna suck big time

Crazy.
I hope they make it.
Is your power back on yet? If not I would not open the incubator as it will lose heat.
And I would wrap it with blankets to help insulate it.

Thanks! Yes it came back on... 4 hours later! I put a heavy blanket over it & my husband's hunting jacket with that Mylar material inside. It helped a lot, just don't think the ones on the outside of the tray are going to make it. The ones in the middle look ok. Still sucks!

Put in my 15 eggs for my first try at incubating. I've had two hatches with broodies, but none of my girls were co-operating, so I borrowed an incubator and decided to give it a go. We should have chicks (hopefully) late April 16th or early 17th- just in time for Easter.
I have a mixed bag- 2 BCM x Cuckoo Marans, 4 Black Amerucanas (my hens and roo are from a breeder friend), 4 Production Reds x Black Amerucana, 2 Buff Brahams x Black Amerucana, 3 Buff Orpington x Black Amerucana (hoping for an olive egger out of these). Like I said, a mixed bag- hoping for the best and as few roos as possible.

Maybe they'll be ok, just a little behind? Fingers crossed!
