Auto sexing is super handy! The males are double barred and the females are single barred. It means that the male chicks will have a dot on their heads and the females will have chipmunk stripes on their backs. Unlike a sexlink chicken, they you will be able to tell the difference between the males and the females from generation to generation.

Crested cream legbar, rhodebars and bielefelders are all examples of auto sexing breeds of chickens.

Wow that is by far the most handy thing ever! If only they were all like that :)

I've had 2 hatch today so far, today is day 21. Last night all were moving and chirping. Early this morning two pipped, and today both hatched, the other tgree still haven't pipped. Do you think there okay??

I have had internet issues for 2 days, still not working. I have 19 healthy happy chicks, 1 still in icu, 10 didn't make it, but of those 10 only 3 died after I assisted. One in breech position that I couldn't find the beak in time to save, one w/ a huge abd. hearnia that started to bleed, and the other was just to weak.

The one that is still in guarded condition is still alive, I really didn't think he would be alive on day 3, but I still don't expect him to make it. I didn't get pic until today. Here is the crew, the last one is the special one still in bad shape. His problems are not due to his genetics it was due to his early hatch from shrink wrapping and having to be assisted before he was ready to hatch.

Just gave my broody turkey 8 turkey eggs and 9 chicken eggs! They've all been in the bator long enough that they r all due to hatch April 25th!!!
BTW: No issues with blackhead in my area.
