APRIL Hatch a long ......Anyone?

Just locked down with 7 cayuga ducks and 27 dominique chickens.

Just candled, pulled 5 clears, I am still in with 33 viable eggs at day 8. Broody hen is to hatch out her eggs in 9 days, I left her with four but she may have laid her own after that???? I will know for sure in 9 days.

I have a question also, one of BLR eggs I swear I saw two embryo's? Is that possible?

yes it IS possible, it must have been a double-yolked egg!

Yes I just watched a video of a twin egg hatch, it had to be assisted though

It is just a normal sized egg, most of the double yolk eggs are normally very large, correct? I only question because I have not had a double yolk egg in as a normal size.

This is interesting, I will have to candle again in a few days to see if there are any changes.

Day 21 2 hatched so far today, 1 just now pipped, the other 2 have pipped internally. Waiting anxiously for the rest of these little babies!

Siblings, I wish I knew the sex! Can't wait to see what colors the rest will be!

if you want to sex them, look at their wings, if the length is the same, its a boy. If the lengths are different, their boys.
