APRIL Hatch a long ......Anyone?

Love the splash silkie :) wish I had breeders close by with birds of that quality I'd buy a tone of hatching eggs and its okay to be jealous sub I know my welsh Harlequins are pretty :)can't wait to see their babies!

I would totally send you over silkie eggs from my breeder! he charges 50 cents per egg. YES! 50 cents! that splash came from one, along with my sizzle partridge gal, and porcelain calico gal. I just love them! such great quality for so cheap! relly! im impressed with him! (my porcelain has a minor cross beak, but its all good.)

(hatched on new years)

my breeder doesn't ship...it relly stinks.

here are some other birds I have gotten from those half dollar eggs:

also; I got my 3 polish eggs my silkie is sitting on for $4.50. he charges $1.33 per polish egg.

Tomorrow is hatch day!!!

Came home from work checked my hens and heard a cheep cheep from under my broody! YAY!!

Im not one to lift a broodys bum (very hands off with broodys) and check whats there, so hopefully they will be out and about tomorrow and I will post pics.
I quickly threw together some homemade chick feeders and waterers so that the lil fluffy bums dont drown. Its dark now hope i get to see them tomorrow. :D

Last week I bought same fresh egg for EATING

. Decided to throw some in a very cheap homemade incubator to see what happens. Well, got tons of 108 temperature spikes and humidity down below 25%.. But was able to keep it around the right temp about 70% of the time.

Candled the egg thinking I probably have to throw at least 1/2 away but found most of them look like this:

Now, not count one's chickens before they hatch(finally I can say this and literally mean what I say

) I should have chicks in 2 weeks.

I put some eggs under my silkie yesterday! Aaaand she's still stealing everyone else's eggs, lol.

I think my due date is around April 30th? Or May 1st? Something like that, I think. This is my first time trying to get chicks. :)

Lol silkies are real characters, and egg addicts :D

Wow well done, did you just use store bought eggs i thought they were never fertilised?

These are not store bought. But you are right, the ones you buy at stores are not fertilized.

Someone had chickens and was selling her extra eggs to people that wanted free range chicken eggs for food.

Some stores sell fertile eggs, looks organic stores, trader Joe's, etc.
