APRIL Hatch a long ......Anyone?

I'm on day 19, lock down last night. I have one problem I can't get my humidity up it's at 42. Can anybody help me with this I have the reservoir filled two sponges in there and a bowl of water with a towel in it. I used an automatic egg turner and I removed it and remove the vent plugs. I got up this morning and the humidity was at 39 so I put one vent plug back in and the humidity went up to 42. I didn't have this problem went the eggs were in the automatic egg tuner. Should I put the eggs in a carton? To keep them up higher. Please help me!

What kind of bator? On my hova-bator I had to duct tape the seams in order to keep the humidity up too much air was leaking thru. You could try that? You are doing all the other things that I would of suggested. I use soaked wash clothes around which helps well. Good luck.

Sclark73, I have a little giant still air incubator. I only put one vent plug back in out of the two, do you think I sure put the other back in?

I would, you need to get that humidity up more. If you able to just keep watch regulate in case its too much. Im not sure if your able to do this. Im a stay at home mom so I keep constant watch over my temps and humidity.

I'm a stay home mom too! I put water in the incubator and put both plugs back in. My humidity is now at 69. The instructions for the little giant says to take both plug at lockdown. I have my fingers crossed that the chicks didn't died. Time will tell, Thank you for your help.

Broody Butt refused to get off the nest yesterday, couldn't hear any chirping but she was clucking quite a bit...wonder what she feels, maybe some rocking eggs I hope!!!

Not that they hatched but my new breeder rabbit had 10 kits yesterday, 3 of them right in front of me while I watched... Not intentional but it was her first time and she had pulled her fur and instead of having them in her birthing box she had them on the floor of the wire cage... Put them and her fur in the box and left her alone.. Gave her the day to get used to them and did a head count last night.. all 10 were warm and seemed ok...She is only 6 mo old and I hadn't intended to breed her for a few more months but we have a very smart buck and he found a way into her cage...

Pictures are impossible until they are out and about

If your humidity gets any higher try half cocking the plug to let some air out. I have both out and the seems taped w duct tape and it's holding well.

I candled my eggs last night and as of then (day 9) I have lost only 1 since the heat spike. I saw the classic blood ring.
