APRIL Hatch a long ......Anyone?

I agree, and thanks again for the info it has been helpful.
I'm glad I said something about them or I might not have known. (that's why I like BYC)
here's a much more scientific explanation.
I'm glad you said something too. Perhaps someone is interested in an all drake flock and would be interested in your boys. And you can always eat them. How certain are you they are boys? I can always hope they are girls!

I am ready, eggs to pencil and set after work. Excited!
A couple of eggs are a bit dirty, tried getting dirt off without washing and that's as far as I could get.

my first to hatch was in the dirtiest egg I set! The eggs I tried to rub the poop/mud off, went bad so I wouldn't even worry about wiping them other than flicking the big chunks off.

Okay then, that's settled my mind a bit! I wish I wasn't going to work today so I could set them now and not in a few hours time when I get home!

Alright, I finally got some pictures uploaded. These ones are of my first chick to hatch Tuesday night.

Zipping:

It's an itty-bitty wing!

Out she comes, complaining quite loudly:

Resting up a moment:

Off she goes to see what the big world has to offer her (with shell stuck to her back LOL):
