ugh, im kinda losing all hope here. Not sure what to do with this little baby or anything at this point :( .

I got this little guy from someone that didnt have the best home for him. He came to me sick with the sniffles, but seemed fine otherwise. Now i finally got a good look yesterday and noticed missing feathers on his back, (no roo to mate him, was in with other chicks as well but none picked on him), watery eyes and lethargic. I saw him kinda interested in food today but now i have him in bis own little pen & hes losing it! Doesnt want to be separate but i already notice my other birds getting sniffles and i cant afford to lose everyone.

Do we think its suffering? Too far gone to fix? I dont want to have to cull, but will if its best option.

Thank you in advance for reading/answering :bow

Poor thing :hugs

How long have you had him?

Your little fella looks to have more than just the sniffles. I see a huge bubble in the eye, looks like there may be ear infection as well, hard to tell, but you will want to take a close look at that.
If you have other birds already getting "sniffles" too, then they have been exposed to whatever contagious respiratory disease that he has. Getting some testing to find out exactly what it is, is always a good idea.
With the eye bubble, I would take a guess that he has Mycoplasma, but often there can be complications from another secondary bacterial infection. You can try treating him and the ones that are symptomatic with an antibiotic like Tylan50 to see if that helps. Dosage is 0.25ml per pound of weight given orally 3 times a day for 5 days.
The eye needs to be flushed out several times a day and an eye ointment applied (Terramyicn would be good).
Look at that ear, if there's pus in there, it will need to be removed, antibiotics alone will not dry up pus in a chicken.
Look him over very well for lice and mites while you are at it.

Keep in mind, even if he recovers, he and the exposed birds will remain carriers for life depending on the disease.
