Araucana thread anyone?

TheKeeper- I would guess, only venturing, that you'd end up with some redish chicks. I don't know if that's an actual color variety, but your hen is very salmon red colored and your roo has some brilliant red too. Maybe redish with black splashed in? Please hatch some and show us...in any case I think they'll be very beautiful birds.

The eggs that I had set for this hatch on the 17th of this month ( September) that were by my little Silver Duckwing rooster were all infertile. I think maybe he was a little younger than I was told when I got him. So I'm not going to hold that against him. I did however sell him today.

41 eggs out of the incubator and into the brooder.
Beautiful chicks as always, Ash... :)
Hey guys just wondering if a araucana hen is too small for a Plymouth Rock roo!?
Depends on their actual sizes... going by averages, Araucanas are on the light end of lf and I believe Plymouth Rocks are on the heavier end... personally, I'd say no... unless he's on the lighter side and she's on the heavier side... general rule of thumb is large hens for large roos...

That sucks... sorry to hear that, draye... do you have any eggs left in the bator now?

I have tried 3 batches of eggs so far with no fertility. Ive trimmed up both hen & roo backsides so we'll see how round 4 goes. I'm dying to hatch chicks from this pair. It would be my first time having hatching eggs from my own birds.
Here another pic of roo.
