Australia too. I just hear more about NZ having this type of Araucana.

Secret Agent has taken more pics. So while she's outside planting the onions, just to be sure --

Are both of these lady birds?

They won't leave the ark today for some reason... the door is open!

I think they are both girls. I can't get over how different your araucanas look than ours. There is something so endearing about their cute little faces.

Thanks Cashdl!
We think both are girls despite the differences between them. They are both lovely hens!
We will be sorry to see the white boy go to a new home but hopefully we will get something wonderful for him!

The breeding is very different alright!! DO you show yours?

No I don't show mine. I used to raise and show english mastiffs. Didn't love it but did ok. I just love breeding and having the araucanas running around. The blue eggs don't hurt either.

They are lovely birds, We are really enjoying having them around. Found a home for The white one, he will be looked after well.
The cats are not to much interested in them surprisingly enough! I appreciate your help with the sexing. We are confident that the 2 lavenders are hens now!

English mastiffs! wow, nice dog! We breed and show British shorthair cats.

Does flighty mean they try and fly? Nah. there's been plenty of wing flapping but nothing to worry about.

The cockerel is actually really friendly. The lavenders are a bit more standoffish but I think that's because they're pretty bonded together.

oops! They're not very active. The lavenders don't seem to like being picked up much, but once you do, they're not a problem.

The white boy is really quite friendly.
