What does a british short hair cat look like?

Mastiffs are my absolute favorite dog. In fact my all time favorite mastiff breeder line is the Bredwardine line. Amazing dogs.

For a while my collection of animals was English Mastiffs, Arabian Horses, Chilian Chickens ( Araucanas ) and La Mancha goats. The only ones I don't have now are the mastiffs. I couldn't afford to get the bloodlines I wanted once my last dog died so I didn't want to settle.

Fortunately Araucanas are slightly less expensive. Not much it seems. LOL!

But, the british shorthair most people picture is the big blue boy like this:

Or the whiskas cats are typically female silver tabbies so they look less jowly.

Very cool. I like the jowels.

I have cats that came with the property we purchased. They are outside cats since my whole family is allergic except for me. Its nice to sit outside with a cat on your lap and watch the sun go down. Course its nice to sit outside with a cup of coffee and a chicken on your lap too. LOL!

Just getting around to updating! We found a fantastic home for Lily/Billy

and they were so happy they gave us a RIR hen in return for him. She's already started laying, so we're chuffed

And Billy apparently has his own clutch of chicks to keep in line for now. I'm so glad he found a home that really wanted him!
