We’re talking about ducks.

YOU'RE the one that keeps shoving the article back here whenever anyone says it's a bad ideaTell them and NOT me!
People have kept parrots for years. It works. Lots of people have large aviaries where the birds can fly. But parrots are different. So why is it okay to keep an endangered and fragile bird like a macaw inside a cage inside a home but it is not okay to keep a duck the same way?
But you’re planning to do the same thing. So I am telling you: it’s a terrible, cruel thing to do! Keeping a healthy duck inside alone.

Just because other people do things even worse, doesn't give you an excuse to do a bad thing. A bad thing is a bad thing, and now you are knowingly going into it knowing how cruel and terrible it is so if you do decide to do it that is just messed up.Cruelty? How about farmers who raise and slaughter ducks for human consumption?
Are we talking about factory farms (which everyone here pretty much seems to feel the same on) or people that raise the birds with plenty of what they need and keep them happy save for one bad day?Cruelty? How about farmers who raise and slaughter ducks for human consumption?
