I'm with you on this one. Do you assume people are illegal just because they have brown skin? How do you know they are illegal and using food stamps? Do you poll them as they are in the checkout stand?

Has anyone else seen the movie "A Day Without a Mexican"?

Obviously, there is an economic element to hiring illegal workers. If they couldn't do the work, do it well and do it for less, companies wouldn't be hiring illegal workers. Here in Texas, a huge amount of dangerous and sometimes illegal jobs are done by undocumented workers. Several large companies were cited because they were doing asbestos work, at night, with illegal workers. These people absorb the risks of dangerous jobs, poorly maintained work sites, dangerous chemicals and other things because American companies would rather not follow work place regulations and pay a living wage. If you stop the demand for jobs, you will stop the immigrants. Don't support companies that hire large numbers of illegals, don't look for the cheapest available contruction work, the cheapest produce, and maybe you can help the situation.

Just like drug enforcement, until the demand is addressed the supply will rise to meet it. It hard to blame someone for wanting a better life for themselves and their families. We in this country make it possible in so many ways. Yes they should do it legally, but we don't allow enough legal immigrants into the country to do the jobs

Thank you, im trying to figure out what peaple concider illegale, I just hope that some peaple know the difference between others even though they have the same skin color,
Like you do they concider spanish, i would like to see how some peaple respond .
 
I'm in Texas, where everyone seems to feel obligated to have an issue with illegal immigrants. I've never known any that were anything but polite, hard working, and apologetic that they had to be here illegally. Natural citizens, on the other hand . . . well, I have much less positive reviews on many of them and their sense of entitlement simply because they have the good fortune to have been born here, as though that's some sort of accomplishment to be proud of.

Illegal immigration is one of the reasons why I'm a huge fan of the Fair Tax . It would at least make them pay into the system.

I have no problem with anyone coming over into this country to live. I just think we should know who they are and they should have to pay the same taxes we do to get the same prevliges we have.

I completly agree with whoever said we need to make the process easier. It is amazing the hoops they have to jump through. My bil is from Japan and hearing what he had to go through made my head spin.

I'll say it again....it's not a race issue for everyone. If u are not a citizen or don't have a work visa u shouldn't be able to get a job/or a DL. (Hello 9/11 expired visas!) & how bout we stop exporting our jobs! if we kept a few here instead of outsourcing every blessed thing maybe jobs wouldn't be an issue @ all.

Most Latino immigrants pay taxes and never file a return. They rarely use government services for fear of being caught. Seriously folks, go out and talk to some of these people don't just swallow the idiotic drivel being fed to you by the media and politicians.

The illegals I was talking about weren't married - but they had families. Know why they weren't married? Because if they were they'd have to buy family insurance, but since they weren't, their girlfriends and children could be on Mass Health. Don't tell me all illegals (there's that broad brush again) are keeping things under the wire due to fear. Your experiences are not the norm around here. There are plenty of Americans put out of jobs because illegals are filling them. I don't need the media to tell me, I can see it for myself.​
