Are lice a danger for 2 week old chicks

I have 2 two week old chicks in with their 2 mothers who share the duty of raising them. I found a few lice on the hens today only about 5 on each of them all spread out around the hen. Should I treat this now and will it affect my young chicks ? Thanks

A pinch or three of permethrin dust on the skin of mama, around vent and under wings, should do the trick. Dust will transfer to chicks.
