Are my runner and Cayuga male or female?

Hello! Not all drakes have the curled drake feather. I have two that do not have it. The best way of sexing is by their quack. Drakes are a raspy lower quack where females have more of a honking loud quack.

Muscovy ducks do not have any curled drake feather either. You have to wait for the Hiss to come from the drakes and watch for more red on the heads to be sure. Even then there have been some hens that have had more red than usual so watching them mount the females and seeing the male parts is for sure.

No curls on the tails! I have heard that not all of the Drakes have the curl (not sure) but these two are pretty loud so If I understand correctly the boys are a bit quieter

Yes. Girls have a deep honk almost, and the drakes (males) have a raspy voice, much like Donald Duck.
