Im looking at breeds of chickens to order for the spring but need help with some breeds if you've had any of the following let me know your thoughts on them!
Jersey Giant
Polish
Silkie
Brahma
Wyandotte
How are their egg production? Temperament? Personality? Any other comments on the breed?

The Polish or Poland is a European breed of crested chickens known for its remarkable crest of feathers. The oldest accounts of these birds come from The Netherlands; their exact origins are unknown, however. In addition to combs, they are adorned with large crests that nearly cover the entirety of the head. Wikipedia

Primary use: ornamental
Egg production (annual): 200
Egg size: Medium
Recognized variety: Non-Bearded White, Bearded Buff Laced, MORE
Egg color: White
Origin: Netherlands

Polish and silkies come with extra challenges to keep them. They are best kept with their own breeds, or similar type to avoid problems. Sometimes they are compatible with other breeds, but other times it can be a disaster.

Most breeds without crests are compatible. I generally recommend not mixing bantam and standards as that mix can bring up some issues as well.

Brahma, Wyandotte, and Jersey giants should get along fine as long as you have plenty of room for everyone. I am mostly familiar with the Wyandotte. The gold laced lay the best.

The Silkie is a breed of chicken named for its atypically fluffy plumage, which is said to feel like silk and satin. The breed has several other unusual qualities, such as black skin and bones, blue earlobes, and five toes on each foot, whereas most chickens only have four. Wikipedia

Primary use: eggs
Egg production (annual): 100
Egg size: Small
Temperament: Friendly, Calm
Recognized variety: Non-Bearded White, Non-Bearded Partridge, MORE
Egg color: Tinted, Cream

The Wyandotte is an American breed of chicken developed in the 1870s. It was named for the indigenous Wyandot people of North America. The Wyandotte is a dual-purpose breed, kept for its brown eggs and its yellow-skinned meat. It is a popular show bird, and has many color variants. Wikipedia

Primary use: dual-purpose meat/eggs
Egg production (annual): 200
Egg size: Large
Temperament: Docile
Recognized variety: Buff Laced, Red, Buff Columbian, Mille Fleur, MORE
Egg color: Brown, Tan

This past spring got 4 buff Brahma pullets and have loved them! They follow me all over & will happily sit in my lap when given the opportunity.

If you go to the "Review" tab on this site and then click on "Chicken Breeds" there are a lot of reviews & discussion.

These birds are mostly show types, but some have their qualities to them. I have had the Polish, only because wife wanted them. I found them to be dumber than a box of rocks and did not make it to their first year (never wanted to go into coop and lost due to predators). If you are looking for more than show, I can give you some breeds to look at, as I have a very diverse flock.

I love my Black Jersey Giants. Boss of the flock, and great layers that tend to keep up at least an egg every other day even in winter when everyone else gives up.

My Golden Laced Wyandotte is my fav, friendly, not overy cranky with other hens, good layer.
