I know it's discouraging..i hatch lots of shipped eggs and if you get a 50% or better hatch, that would be great. I've never had even that. Last batch...12 eggs got me 5 chicks. I think going through the delivery system is really hard on the eggs. Between handling, possible exray, etc. I think it effects hatchability exponentially. When i purchase eggs i ask seller to pack small end down. Write fragile/eggs/no exray on box. And I pic up at post office. When i unpack, i am careful not to turn eggs over, keep pointed end down and i do not spin or flip eggs over. I rest them at room temp for 24hrs b4 i set them n bator. I set them in bator small end down.1st two days of incubation, i do not turn them. I like to keep them in an egg carton and hand turn them..seems i have better success, and i only turn from side to side..just like an egg Turner. I am careful not to spin eggs as i turn from side to side. This works for me..lots of trail and error. I use a genisis hovabator 1588 for incubation and move them to a brinsea to hatch.15 or 16 I believe. Started with 30, but they were all shipped eggs and were roughly handled :/ my mail lady threw them upside down on my porch!
Ignore the air cell line I drew them too early lol
When one baby pips and starts to chirp..it encourages the others to hatch to!
