Hello all! My chickies have reached 10 weeks. I am a little concerned I have a roo. I have a buff Orpington, a buff silkie, and a grey silkie frizzle. The crest on the buff silkie is what makes me nervous. Thanks for your input!

How old are the silkies? Buff appears to be cockerel (based on comb) First silkie photo, I'd like to see it facing front, to display entire comb.

Everyone is 10-11 weeks old now. Please change your opinion about my buff silkie haha.

The one you are calling a Buff Orpington is not an Orpington, and is much younger than the silkies. Looks to be about 6 weeks old, judging by the rate of feathering. You have a Blue Silkie, and looks like a cockerel. Quite a bit of comb development and patchier coloring rather than a uniform shade of blue, not going to have a lot of wattle development due to the beard. The Buff Silkie is definitely a cockerel.

I'd like to believe the guy I got them from. He said something like he's raised over 20,000 chickens and this is the smallest buff Orpington he's ever seen.
