Are we becoming a police state?

I'm considering it myself. XD. Not for the reasons listed here. Main thing keeping me is that it is freaking cold where I'd really like to move. However, that is not an option or a desire for all. Just as you vote and work towards things that you want to change, so do others. Recognizing what one wants to have changed does not mean one has any desire to move elsewhere.

I like it here I just think it takes sacrifice to keep it. But i AGREE those that are not liking it should go where they are happy... what ever the issue is. Here it is just as easy to change things to suit self. "A double minded person is unstable in their ways". quote

There is also one more issue out there as well, some people are just never going to be happy. There is a group out there that revels in being miserable and they feel like since they are, everyone else should be as well.

You are right, it is not enough that one can behave just about how one deems it proper but then insists that everyone else should approve and accept it also and with the assumption that it will make them happy. Some people are never satisfied with life in general.

My husband very much wants to leave this country, go somewhere where our kids will have a chance at their lives and not be taxed to death paying for the decisions this country has made for the last 50 some years. He'd move us in a heartbeat. I have a hard time leaving my family, and I'm an optimist and hope someday enough Americans will wake up and put this country back to the ideals this country was founded on.

All super power countries fall, ours is no exception. We're imploding by our own doing. China is going to be the next super power country.

What if the government works for some us for the most part?

The US government only works for you and cares about you if you are filthy rich. The only way you can get a tax break in this country is if you're already rich and don't need it.

Does that work for ya? If so, you must be filthy rich.

I'm sure as heck not.
