They are good looking birds anyway, OP you should be very happy OEGB are great birds. They have a wonderful spunky personality without being mean. And I'm guessing you could breed them with a black OEGB and get sex linked. My BRH bred with a barred rock and got sex linked offspring. The barred OEGB should have the same gene. You will need more of them to have eggs for breakfast, I can eat half a dozen of OEGB at a time.

I personally think they're gorgeous...the male needs to be dubbed but gorgeous!

I'm in love with the roo, this is his daddy I think he's prettier than his dad! he's not dubbed either but personally I'm a sucker for big combs and waddles, I know for showin they have to be dubbed but my pets I leave them natural

cut/trim the comb and wattles back. In the winter it prevents frostbite. I have not trimmed mine either. I have never done it and I am a little worried I might cut too much. But I'm going to have to before winter.

Those birds are gorgeous!!

I agree dubbing seems bad, but even in heavy breeds that aren't supposed to have trouble, cold can be bad.

My birds have a tight coop with a ceramic heater running on a thermostat, and my BR still lost some tips from their combs because of frostbite. We had sub-zero temps sustained for a week or so many times last winter.

I won't dub, nonetheless, but I can understand it's necessary in some cases.

I have no plans on my std sized birds, but OEGB are very small birds there is not much there, and they are more likely to suffer frostbite, than bigger birds. From what I understand the pain from the dubbing is less than it is from frostbite. And frostbite can make them infertile.
