There was one dark brahma girl who didn't go to bed last night. Instead she jumped on the roof of the coop! I didn't get home until after 8pm(took the twins shopping in Anthem). Scared the pants off of me when I walked into the yard, thought it was an owl or something.
Same up our way, but though the girls look rough in the high temps they have always made it through over the past years (even record hot years) except for an older hen that fall victim to the heat and or stress this year. Never lost one to heat before her...
Just a few more long weeks and things slowly start cooling as days grow shorter.
