    JaneTora- Your Hen House is adorable. Just perfect for 3 hens!! You should get some eggs before the end of the year. No clue if adding light really helps or not, maybe someone else with exp will chime in??

    Janetora - I got my first eggs in the middle of December. They kept laying all the way through the winter without any lights. [​IMG]

    And, just in case anyone is worried to show their coop because it doesn't measure up, take a look at mine (on my page). It's as simple as it can be. Well, at least it's purple. [​IMG]

    Point well taken. I think it was Meg Moringa-seed that told me the same thing. I'm going to shoot for three boxes in a row at about hip height. I have roughly 48" of space so around 15" each. Any recommendation as to the height & depth of a nesting box?
